  • Serve as the appointed OSH Management Specialist for Chanel Taiwan, in accordance with the Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Act and provide oversight of statutory H&S obligations.
  • Lead the development and execution of Taiwan’s Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategy in alignment with regional H&S priorities, business objectives, and local H&S regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Taiwan leadership and business functions on H&S governance, H&S risk management, H&S regulatory compliance, and wellbeing priorities.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of H&S programs, SOPs, training, management systems, and assurance processes across retail locations, distribution centers, offices, events, and other facilities in Taiwan.
  • Evaluate and close health and safety compliance gaps by establishing clear action plans, governance routines, and accountability with business stakeholders.
  • Build capability across the organization by partnering with divisions and functions to appoint, train, and guide H&S Committee, First Aiders, Emergency Responders, and other site-level H&S roles.
  • Provide oversight of H&S risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and effectiveness control for retail operations, distribution centers, events, and other Chanel facilities in Taiwan.
  • Lead Taiwan’s contribution to the ISO 45001 certification roadmap, including standards development, procedure implementation, H&S internal audits, readiness reviews, and certification-related activities.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor the Taiwan H&S budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to priority programs, projects, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigation quality, root cause analysis, corrective action governance, and trend analysis to prevent recurrence and strengthen organizational learning.
  • Set and monitor H&S objectives, KPIs, and performance dashboards in alignment with North Asia & SEAA H&S teams, providing timely insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead H&S audits, inspections, assessments, and management reviews to drive continuous improvement and ensure the effectiveness of the H&S Management System.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response governance in partnership with North Asia & SEAA H&S team and local stakeholders, including drills, rehearsals, response plans, and employee awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Facilities, P&O, ICRM, Retail, DC, and RC representatives, to collectively raise H&S standards across the workplace.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Health and Safety in Taiwan, representing Chanel in discussions with external partners, vendors, consultants, and regulatory bodies on H&S-related matters.

  • Strong understanding of Taiwanese health and safety legislation, ISO 45001 standards, H&S governance, and management systems, with the ability to interpret requirements and provide practical, business-focused direction.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, partner with business leaders, and drive accountability for health, safety, wellbeing, and risk management outcomes.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution discipline, able to translate regional priorities and regulatory requirements into effective local plans, governance routines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making capability, with the ability to manage complex issues, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills, with the confidence to engage, coach, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership maturity, resilience, and ability to work independently while building trusted partnerships across local, regional, and external stakeholder groups.

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety management, engineering, environmental health, or a related field; postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health and safety management within large, complex organizations with multiple locations in Taiwan.
  • Possession of an Occupational Safety and Health Management Specialist certificate is required.
  • Professional certification or accreditation from internationally recognized H&S organizations (e.g., BCSP, NEBOSH, IOSH) is advantageous.
