The IT Program Manager leads the delivery, governance and strategic oversight of complex, multi-project technology programs. Working with senior executives, business owners, technology teams and delivery partners, you will drive the successful delivery of digital systems and business improvements while managing risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.

The role balances delivery of an existing product roadmap with emerging portfolio priorities, providing strategic leadership, governance and program management expertise across a complex operating environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multi-project programs, including planning, prioritisation, governance, risk management, delivery oversight and executive reporting.
  • Provide strategic direction for the design, implementation and continuous improvement of digital systems, platforms and associated services.
  • Establish effective program controls, assurance processes, steering arrangements and reporting aligned with NSW Government and departmental frameworks.

  • Provide clear, evidence-based advice and briefings to executives and governance forums.

You will bring:

  • extensive experience leading large, complex digital transformation or business systems programs in government or a similarly complex environment
  • demonstrated experience establishing program governance, delivery frameworks, risk management and stakeholder engagement processes
  • experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing vendors and service providers to achieve strategic outcomes
  • strong knowledge of program and project management methodologies, digital systems delivery, business transformation and continuous improvement
