Shift Supervisor - Lifeguard

Do you love being around people, staying active, and making a difference in your community? The City of Bloomfield Aquatic Center is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic team member to join our aquatics team as a Pool Shift Supervisor / Lifeguard!

This is more than just a lifeguarding job. You'll help create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where families make memories and kids build confidence in the water.

• $15.50/hour - No lifeguard experience required
• $16.50/hour - Experienced Lifeguards
• 20-30 hours per week - seasonal
• Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends

• →Supervise pool operations during assigned shifts
• →Lead and support lifeguard staff
• →Keep swimmers safe by enforcing pool rules and maintaining vigilance
• →Respond to emergencies and provide first aid if needed
• →Assist with facility opening and closing procedures
• →Support pool parties and special events
• →Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aquatic facility
• →Be a positive role model for guests and fellow team members

• Enjoys working with people of all ages
• Is dependable, responsible, and safety-minded
• Has strong communication and leadership skills
• Stays calm under pressure
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Is willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications required (or ability to obtain before employment)
• Must successfully complete pre-season training
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to swim, stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods
