We're looking for an experienced CFO who has worked directly with small and midsized business owners—not just managed the numbers, but helped owners make smarter decisions and improve profitability.

At How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm (HTM), we help law firm owners build more profitable businesses. Our CFOs serve as trusted financial advisors, helping owners understand their numbers, improve cash flow, increase margins, and make better decisions about pricing, hiring, and growth.

HTM provides the clients, systems, and infrastructure. You'll work directly with approximately 30 law firm owners, building long-term relationships and helping them improve their financial performance.

You'll focus on what you do best: helping business owners understand their financial position, identify opportunities, and make decisions that lead to better results.

• 8+ years of CFO-level financial leadership experience
• Direct experience advising small and midsized business owners
• Experience working with businesses generally in the $1M–$35M+ revenue range
• A track record of improving profitability, margins, pricing, cash flow, or overall financial performance
• Strong financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning skills
• The ability to turn financial information into clear, practical business recommendations
• The confidence to challenge an owner's thinking and help them make difficult business decisions

Experience as a fractional CFO or managing multiple client relationships is a plus.
