Build the Future with Martin Concrete Construction

Martin Concrete Construction is seeking a sharp and driven Project Engineer to join our growing Critical Projects Group supporting complex concrete construction projects.

This isn’t just another engineering job. It’s a chance to be at the heart of projects that power our world, including data centers, power generation facilities, waste and water treatment plants, and other critical infrastructure. You’ll be the crucial link between the office and the field, helping ensure our most complex and vital concrete construction projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position is based in the Kennesaw office; however, based on contractual and project requirements, the role may require full-time assignment at a project job site and will involve travel as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Engineer, you’ll support the day-to-day execution of critical concrete construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field teams, clients, and project leadership, you’ll help keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward from planning through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily coordination of critical concrete construction projects.
  • Work from project job sites as required, coordinating closely with field teams, clients, and leadership.
  • Work onsite with field teams to monitor labor, materials, equipment, and production.
  • Manage drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and overall project documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on pricing, purchase orders, and material deliveries.
  • Assist with project scheduling, including three-week lookahead planning.
  • Track labor data, project logs, and reports to support cost and progress tracking.
  • Attend jobsite meetings, document action items, and support inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working onsite at active construction projects, including full-time job site assignments and travel as needed.
  • A clear and effective communicator with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership.
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow within the construction industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA Certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Tekla
