Cloud Engineer

CTC Group is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting complex software systems and mission-critical applications. This role emphasizes cloud architecture, infrastructure configuration, systems integration, and the reliability and availability of cloud-hosted services.

• →Analyze system requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level architectures to develop cloud infrastructure specifications.
• →Design and implement cloud-based system architectures supporting application migration, microservices, and containerized environments.
• →Configure, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation, preferably within AWS environments.
• →Develop system requirements and interface specifications to support integration between cloud services and existing applications.
• →Support the integration of messaging technologies such as ActiveMQ and Kafka across cloud-based systems.
• →Plan and implement deployment strategies to ensure high availability, reliability, and system performance.
• →Troubleshoot infrastructure and application integration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• →Manage system configuration baselines, evaluate technical risks, and coordinate changes to system requirements.
• →Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, interface control documents, and integration and test plans.
• →Generate after-action reports documenting identified issues, new requirements, and improvements to Tier 1 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• Recent experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting application migrations to cloud environments.
• Experience with microservices and containerized architectures.
• Experience integrating systems using ActiveMQ and/or Kafka.
• Experience designing and supporting high-availability cloud environments.
• Experience with systems engineering, architecture development, requirements analysis, and system integration.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
