DevOps Engineer

• →Deploying and maintaining critical services supporting both on-prem and cloud-native architecture.
• →Working with the Cybersecurity team by implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
• →Using automation best practices, such a IaC and GitOps, for repeatability and fast provisioning of environments.
• →Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes platforms in multiple environments and classification levels.
• →Working closely with development teams to provide onboarding support.
• →Ensuring platform and networks are compliant with DoD policies.
• →Supporting backup and disaster recovery planning.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with CI/CD automation servers including GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Experience with deploying and maintaining CNCF products to on-prem or cloud environments
• Scripting experience including at least a subset of the following: Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience and/or familiarity with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, OWASP-DC, Anchore, Claire, OPA, Fortify, Checkmarx, Synk, and OpenSCAP

This location is located in College Park, MD with a part time remote option. On-site presence is expected 3 days per week with the option of 2 days of remote work. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $140,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical interview.

• 2+ years of experience administering Kubernetes in production environments
• Deploying and maintaining critical services supporting both on-prem and cloud-native architecture.
• Using automation best practices, such as IaC and GitOps, for repeatability and fast provisioning of environments.
• Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes platforms in multiple environments and classification levels.
• Experience with deploying and maintaining CNCF products to on-prem or cloud environments
• HS Diploma

• 3+ years of relevant experience administering Linux servers (ex. RHEL, Ubuntu) in production environments
•  Experience with CI/CD automation servers (ex. GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Experience with administration of Linux endpoints (clients)
• Experience with traditional Linux authentication services such as LDAP(S), SSSD, Kerberos and/or tools such as FreeIPA/RHEL IdM
• Hands-on experience with digital certificate management and provisioning across services, systems, and user accounts.
• Experience with providing Identity Management services including SSO using OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML
• Scripting experience including at least a subset of the following: Bash, Python, Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible
• 2+ years experience administering (or a power-user on) hypervisors (e.g. VMware, Proxmox) in production environments
• HS Diploma
