Who is Michaels Energy?

Michaels Energy is a veteran-owned energy consulting firm helping businesses minimize waste and maximize value through energy efficiency, engineering, and decarbonization solutions.

We partner with utilities, businesses, and other organizations to design and deliver programs that reduce energy consumption, improve building and process performance, and create lasting value for our clients and the customers they serve. Our work combines technical expertise, business insight, and practical implementation.

At Michaels Energy, our passion is developing long-term client relationships with energy users, utilities, consultants, and partners. This passion, combined with our core values of proactive and responsive service, intuitive analysis, collaborative partnerships, and fanatical execution, forms the foundation of our corporate culture.

What is the role?

We're seeking an accomplished Senior Program Manager to lead a portfolio of utility energy efficiency programs in the New England area. This is an opportunity for a business-minded leader who can connect program strategy, financial performance, client relationships, and operational execution to deliver results.

As a Senior Program Manager, you'll own the performance of your assigned portfolio, serving as a trusted partner to utility clients and leading cross-functional teams that include engineering, outreach, marketing, and other delivery professionals.

You'll have significant autonomy to shape program strategy, strengthen operations, manage financial performance, and identify opportunities to grow the business. Success requires more than managing projects: it requires sound business judgment, disciplined execution, and the ability to build productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and senior leadership.

In this role, you will help lead the next phase of growth for Michaels Energy's New England utility programs.

Our growing portfolio includes successful commercial and industrial energy efficiency program implementation, with opportunities to expand our work with utility partners across the region.

You'll build on established delivery success while shaping the strategy, operating model, and financial foundation needed to support growth. Working closely with utility clients and internal technical and engagement teams, you'll translate emerging opportunities into effective, scalable, and financially sound programs.

This opportunity is well suited to a leader who understands the New England utility energy efficiency landscape and enjoys growing client relationships, strengthening teams, and turning program opportunities into measurable results.

Where can you work?
