About the Role

~1 min read

Rokt Aftersell is looking for a Director of Growth to open up our next sources of revenue. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the General Manager of Rokt Aftersell, working closely with our go-to-market leaders across marketing, partnerships and sales.

This role serves as the product manager for new channels: testing our most promising new revenue channels, segments and products, building a zero-to-one platform to scale them, signing and onboarding the first three customers, then handing each channel to a BD lead or channel owner to scale.

We are an AI-first company. We're a team of builders. That means the person who spots the problem is usually the person who fixes it, and "someone should build a tool for that" is treated as a volunteer sign-up sheet. We use AI and automation tools to move faster, and expect you to figure things out when the path isn’t obvious. If you prefer established processes and clearly defined lanes, you probably won’t like it here.

Growth at Rokt Aftersell runs on agentic tools: you will use agents to research markets, build partner and merchant lists, run outreach, launch test experiences and analyze results, so one person can run the experiments that used to need a team. We expect you to be at the forefront, trying new tools as they ship and building your own agents instead of waiting for headcount. AI handles the volume, and you bring the judgment on which bets to make and the relationships with the first customers in each channel.

  • Build and prioritize a portfolio of roughly a dozen new channels, segments and partnerships, such as technology partnerships, affiliate and referral programs, and browser extensions, each sized from first principles.
  • Design fast, cheap experiments with success criteria agreed upfront, and make a go or no-go call on each channel in weeks, not quarters.
  • Source, pitch, close and onboard the first one to three partners or merchants in each new channel yourself, prototyping the integration, offer or merchant experience with AI tools before working with product, engineering and design to scale it.
  • Measure every channel in revenue (pipeline, activity and unit economics), then turn each proven channel into a playbook and hand it to a BD lead or channel owner.
  • Partner with marketing, partnerships and sales leaders so new channels add to the core GTM motion, and share the AI-powered research, outreach and analytics workflows you build with the wider GTM team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in growth, partnerships, business development, marketing or founder roles, with a track record of taking something from zero to one and tying it to revenue.
  • Daily, hands-on use of frontier agentic tools. Claude Code is a given: you’ve experimented with Muse and Instinct out of curiosity, and you’re the first on your team to try new ones every week.
  • Strong first-principles thinking: you can break down an unfamiliar market or channel, size it, and design the test that tells you whether it is worth pursuing.
  • Commercial instincts: you can sell and negotiate the first deals in a new channel and judge whether its economics will hold at scale.
  • An extremely high degree of urgency. You ship this week, learn from it, and ship again.
  • A generalist who works independently across teams without formal authority, moves between strategy, selling, building and analysis in the same day, and goes deep on a problem once you understand it.
  • Experience in the Shopify or ecommerce SaaS ecosystem, building a technology partnership, affiliate or referral program from scratch, or as a founder or first go-to-market hire would be great.
