Senior SDET Lead – Mobile, Web & AI-Driven Automation

• Design, architect, and build scalable test automation frameworks from scratch for mobile and web applications.

• Establish reusable automation components, technical standards, and best practices that support maintainability and reliable test execution.

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of automation solutions and complex engineering challenges.

• Develop and maintain automated tests for Android and iOS applications using Appium 2.x and relevant platform-specific tools.

• Apply technologies such as UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Android SDK, ADB, and Xcode to support effective mobile testing.

• Identify opportunities to improve mobile test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

• Build and maintain web automation suites using Playwright or Selenium WebDriver.

• Develop test automation solutions using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.

• Promote robust testing practices that support application quality and efficient development cycles.

• Integrate automated test suites into modern continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline test execution and embed automation into development workflows.

• Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent solutions to accelerate development, optimize frameworks, and improve code quality.

• Drive technical decisions and establish consistent automation engineering standards.

• Mentor and guide engineers through framework implementation, technical problem-solving, and effective testing practices.

• Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, and delivery considerations clearly to clients and internal engineering teams.

• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

• Own complex challenges from design through implementation, ensuring that automation solutions align with project needs and engineering objectives.

• Strong hands-on experience with mobile test automation using Appium 2.x across Android and iOS.

• Practical knowledge of UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Android SDK, ADB, and Xcode.

• Strong web automation experience using Playwright or Selenium WebDriver.

• Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.

• Proven experience architecting and building test automation frameworks from the ground up.

• Practical experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent tools to improve development velocity and framework quality.

• Demonstrated technical leadership, including the ability to make architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and mentor other engineers.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges from conception through implementation.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and technical teams.

• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of technical ownership and accountability.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.

• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Hands-on experience with cloud-based device farms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab, or AWS Device Farm.

• Experience with test runners and behavior-driven development (BDD) tools, including TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.

• Familiarity with Kotlin, Swift, Docker, or containerized testing environments.

• Performance testing experience using tools such as JMeter or k6.
