EngineeringProject Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects from initial planning through final execution. In this role, you will develop engineering solutions, perform technical analyses, and coordinate project deliverables to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with project requirements. You will work closely with project managers, clients, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain project schedules and budgets. The position combines hands-on engineering design with project coordination, technical reviews, and opportunities to guide colleagues. You will contribute to complex assignments involving site assessments, structural considerations, utilities, accessibility, and permitting requirements. This opportunity is well suited to a licensed professional engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, client collaboration, and taking ownership of increasingly challenging telecom projects.

  • Develop engineering designs: Prepare engineering plans, calculations, technical data, and project deliverables for telecommunications projects, including routine and complex assignments.

  • Analyze technical challenges: Apply engineering principles, standards, and professional judgment to evaluate data, identify potential issues, solve problems, and develop appropriate design solutions.

  • Adapt engineering methods: Independently apply and modify established engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to address project-specific needs.

  • Assess project sites and constraints: Review existing building plans, evaluate site conditions, and identify potential design, accessibility, utility, grading, constructability, and permitting challenges.

  • Use engineering software: Apply AutoCAD, OCalc, RISA 3D, and other relevant design tools to complete technical work within established schedules and budgets.

  • Conduct quality reviews: Review project deliverables for technical accuracy and quality while providing guidance to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff involved in project execution.

  • Coordinate external technical inputs: Review and coordinate subconsultant deliverables, including geotechnical reports, surveys, structural mappings, and supporting technical documentation.

  • Support project management: Assist project managers with client coordination, project scoping, proposal development, resource allocation, internal workflows, production oversight, schedule tracking, and deliverable management.

  • Participate in project meetings: Attend internal and client meetings, communicate technical information, present project updates, and explain assigned work as needed.

  • Prepare project documentation: Develop technical correspondence and submittal materials, including waiver requests, responses to comments, and other project-specific communications.
