Afterschool Nanny Position (Madison, NJ)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours/week

Overview
A family in Madison, NJ is looking for a dependable, long-term part-time nanny for their two children, a 9-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter. The nanny will run the afternoons: picking the kids up from school, driving them to activities, and keeping the household on track with meal prep, laundry, and tidying. Driving is a key part of the role. A family vehicle is provided and parking is available. The family is looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable supporting both a school-age child and a teen. A cleaning service handles the home’s periodic deep cleaning.

Responsibilities:

• Daily school pickup and safe transportation to and from extracurricular activities
• Homework support and keeping the children organized with school assignments
• Meal prep for the children and family
• Family laundry
• General tidying to keep the home organized
• Encouraging screen-free activities and age-appropriate independence
• Clear, consistent communication with parents about each day’s activities and any concerns

Requirements:

• Prior experience caring for school-age children and/or teens
• Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving the family’s vehicle
• Long-term commitment to the role
• Availability Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 PM
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
