🚀 Project Overview

You will join the core engineering team building a proprietary, AI-powered recruiting and talent platform tailored specifically for recruitment and staffing agencies. The role focuses on integrating conversational AI and autonomous agent capabilities into daily recruitment operations, while engineering high-reliability, bi-directional data integrations with Salesforce and major enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). As a technical leader, you will balance the rapid prototyping of new AI capabilities with maintaining strict software quality, comprehensive testing, and production uptime.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Applied AI & Agentic Feature Development: Adapt, build, and optimize Large Language Model (LLM) features for automated recruiting workflows, improving AI agent performance through prompt engineering, evaluation loops, and system safety guardrails.
• Full-Stack Application Development: Design and build features across backend services, Python web applications, and frontend user interfaces using modern software engineering practices.
• Enterprise ATS & CRM Integrations: Design, build, and maintain robust REST API integrations connecting the recruiting platform with third-party systems such as Salesforce and enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Client Engagement & Prototyping: Partner directly with external enterprise clients, staffing agency partners, and non-technical stakeholders to gather operational requirements, run rapid technical prototypes, and gather feedback.
• Technical Architecture & Delivery Ownership: Own end-to-end technical delivery by breaking complex features into testable, incremental releases while establishing system architecture, code reviews, unit testing, and production monitoring.
• AI-Assisted Engineering Workflow: Leverage modern AI coding agents and developer productivity tools to accelerate daily feature delivery, debugging, and code refactoring.

💡 Must-Have Skills

• Language Proficiency: Full fluency in both Dutch and English (written and verbal) is strictly required for client engagement and regional operations.
• Engineering Leadership: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of leading technical design and cross-system delivery with a high level of autonomy.
• Python Expertise: Core proficiency and hands-on experience in Python backend development.
• Applied LLM & AI Systems: Practical experience building and deploying production LLM applications, refining AI agent behaviors via prompt iteration, testing, evaluation, and safety guardrails.
• Full-Stack & API Breadth: Comfortable working across backend services, web frontend frameworks, and third-party REST API integrations.
• Client-Facing Communication: Strong communication skills with proven experience interfacing directly with clients and aligning technical constraints with business partners.
• Applied AI Tooling: Active daily use of AI coding assistants and agents as part of personal engineering productivity.

✨ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Python Web Frameworks: Direct experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar Python backend web frameworks.

🌐 Time Zone & Collaboration The role is fully remote. Collaboration and alignment with Central European Time (CET) are required to ensure seamless integration with European clients and the core engineering team.

💬 Language Complete fluency in both Dutch and English is required for daily operations, client engagement, and internal collaboration.
