Responsibilities

→Lead the startup and implementation of new and existing production projects, focusing on cost, efficiency, and quality optimization.
→Establish and maintain robust process controls and ensure accurate documentation is in place.
→Monitor ongoing assembly and molding operations; troubleshoot process issues and collaborate with quality teams to resolve defects.
→Develop and document processes for new product lines, including evaluating performance and supporting new tool design.
→Diagnose and debug moderately complex issues in systems, tooling, and automation.
→Design and execute experiments to improve process yields, reduce cycle times, and enhance setup efficiency.
→Recommend and implement process improvements and maintenance changes; ensure all modifications are properly documented.
→Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety programs.
→Provide guidance to assembly and material handling personnel as needed.
→Support and uphold all company safety and quality initiatives.
→Perform additional duties as assigned.
→Assist Tooling Engineers with Design for Manufacture issues.
→Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in class.”
→Understand and drive regulatory and compliance certifications as appropriate (eg. regulatory requirements surrounding ISO9000, ISO14000, AS9100, TUV).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in assembly and/or molding processes within a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Proven experience (min. 5 years) in plastics injection molding
Knowledge and experience of engineering in medical device manufacturing environment (injection molding preferred).
Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
RJG Master Molder training (preferred)
