Project Officer (Cell Biology and Biochemistry)

The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science at Nanyang Technological University, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance excellence in biological and biomedical sciences. Join the laboratory of Dr Alexander Ludwig at the School of Biological Sciences. We are seeking a Project Officer to contribute to a project focused on the organisation and function of the junction-associated actin cytoskeleton in epithelial cells.

• Independently design, conduct, analyse, and critically interpret experiments at a high scientific standard.
• Present and discuss data in weekly group meetings.
• Provide general lab support and guidance and supervision to undergraduate students, fostering their growth and development within the laboratory setting.
• Preparing detailed reports and figures for publications and grant applications.

• Bachelor degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
• At least 4 years of relevant hands-on experience in cell biology, light microscopy, protein biochemistry, and basic Molecular Cell Biology techniques (PCR applications, molecular cloning, cell culture, transfection, IPs, Western blotting, etc)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in analytical skills and data analysis (e.g. ImageJ)
• Ability to work independently and troubleshooting under strict timelines
• Meticulous and excellent organizational & time management skills
