Legal & ComplianceParalegal

As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in managing complex contracting activities that support business growth across healthcare markets, products, and services. You will oversee the full contract lifecycle for vendors and participating healthcare providers, from drafting and negotiation to approvals, execution, and renewals. Working closely with in-house attorneys and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure agreements are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable regulations. You will also contribute to the development of contract templates, playbooks, and standardized workflows that improve consistency and reduce operational risk. This position offers the opportunity to work on healthcare agreements, including Medicare Advantage, commercial insurance, and innovative value-based care arrangements. It is ideal for an organized, proactive legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining legal expertise with business collaboration and process improvement.

  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a high volume of vendor and participating provider agreements, including amendments, statements of work, and supporting documentation, ensuring that contractual terms align with business objectives and legal requirements.
  • End-to-End Contract Lifecycle Management: Coordinate all stages of the contracting process, including intake, drafting, negotiation, internal approvals, execution, and renewals. Maintain accurate contract records, track key terms and obligations, and prepare reporting through the organization's contract management system.
  • Healthcare and Provider Contracting: Support the development, negotiation, and administration of provider agreements across Medicare Advantage and commercial healthcare operations. Assist with contracts that support medical groups and internal operational teams while ensuring alignment with applicable business and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk-Based and Value-Based Agreements: Assist in structuring and managing risk-bearing provider arrangements, including capitation, shared-savings agreements, and other value-based care contracts. Collaborate with attorneys and business stakeholders to support appropriate contractual terms and effective agreement administration.
  • Contract Templates and Process Improvement: Develop, maintain, and enhance contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and standard operating procedures. Identify opportunities to streamline contracting workflows, improve consistency, reduce bottlenecks, and strengthen compliance across contracting activities.
  • Cross-Functional Business Partnership: Work closely with network, finance, compliance, and operations teams to provide general contracting guidance, clarify contractual requirements, and support strategic business initiatives.
  • Legal Team Collaboration: Partner with in-house attorneys, fellow paralegals, contracts professionals, and external counsel when necessary to resolve complex contractual matters and ensure agreements progress efficiently toward execution.
  • Contract Documentation and Risk Management: Maintain reliable documentation, monitor key contractual obligations and renewal dates, and support processes that promote transparency, accountability, and appropriate management of contractual risks.
  • Project and Priority Management: Manage multiple contracting matters simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing business requirements, and maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in a fast-moving environment.
