Logistics Manager - East Tawas Area

• →Resolve delivery delays, damaged shipments, and supplier issues.
• →Maintain compliance with safety, import, and export regulations.
• →Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to meet production and customer needs.
• →Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers.
• →Track inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies in warehouse records.
• →Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork.
• →Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce freight spend.
• →Supervise warehouse and logistics staff and set daily work priorities.

• Working knowledge of transportation management and warehouse management systems.
• Experience negotiating freight rates and managing carrier relationships.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with inventory and cost reporting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small team.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.
• Five or more years of logistics or supply chain experience in manufacturing.

• Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methods.
• Background in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Bilingual communication skills for supplier and carrier contacts.
• APICS or similar supply chain certification.
• Experience with international shipping and customs compliance.
