Front-end Data Application Engineer

• Develop responsive web applications using React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Create reusable components for dashboards, charts, and analytical workflows
• Design interfaces that make complex and enterprise datasets easy to navigate

• Collaborate with data engineers to understand schemas, pipelines, and data models (e.g., SQL Server, Data Vault, or similar)
• Shape and transform data as needed for effective presentation in the UI

• Support integration of AI-driven capabilities into analytics applications
• Work with teams exploring applied AI use cases within IC mission systems

• Optimize applications for performance in data-heavy environments
• Continuously refine user experience based on mission feedback and operational needs

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Familiarity with Next.js or similar full-stack frontend frameworks
• Experience building applications with dynamic or data-intensive interfaces
• Experience with BI platforms for dashboard awareness
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages
• Experience working in U.S. Government, DoD, or Intelligence Community environments, or similar regulated environments
• Familiarity with secure development practices and role-based data access patterns
• Focus on usability, performance, and clarity
• Ability to collaborate across frontend, backend, and data teams
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience supporting NGA
• Cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) or similar
• Data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts, or equivalent
• Familiarity with data warehouse or Data Vault concepts
• Exposure to applied AI tools, frameworks, or integrations in production environments
• Integrate with APIs, data services, and query layers supporting enterprise data platforms

• Active TS clearance required – Can provide SCI / CI Poly
• 100% onsite in Springfield, VA

• Data is presented in a way that supports real mission decisions
• Applications perform reliably in secure, high-volume data environments
• Visualizations are intuitive and integrated into mission workflows
• AI capabilities are applied in practical ways that improve analyst productivity
• Strong collaboration results in consistent, trusted data delivery

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $140-160k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
