Through our culture of making a real impact, fostering growth, embracing flexibility, and building connections, we enable them to live meaningful lives while making a difference in the world. ## In one sentence The Senior RAN Optimization Engineer optimizes LTE/NR and GSM radio networks, using OSS, Drive Test or KPI monitoring tools to improve network quality, capacity, coverage, mobility, and overall customer experience. ## What will your job look like? * Lead complex optimization and troubleshooting activities across large regions, domains, or nationwide RAN clusters. * Perform advanced RCA for customer complaints, performance degradations, worst-cell scenarios, interference issues, and major network incidents. * Drive network-wide capacity, coverage, mobility, and quality optimization initiatives. * Lead parameter optimization programs and assess network-wide implementation opportunities. * Conduct advanced trace analysis, drive-test benchmarking, and performance investigations. * Support software releases and major network changes through detailed performance assessments and corrective actions. * Lead VIP complaint investigations, unusual interference cases, special-event monitoring, and venue/in-building optimization projects. * Coordinate with Core, Transport, Transmission, Planning, and Vendor teams to resolve complex service-impacting issues. * Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to optimization best practices, and automation & continuous service improvement programs. ## All you need is... * 5-8 years of hands-on experience in LTE and 5G Radio Network Optimization. * Demonstrated experience leading complex RCA investigations and major performance improvement initiatives. * Experience operating within Nokia-managed or Nokia-based RAN environments. * Proven customer-facing experience, including performance reviews and technical workshops. * Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical workstreams. Technical Skills * Advanced expertise in LTE-Advanced and 5G NSA/SA optimization. * Strong knowledge of Carrier Aggregation, EN-DC, Massive MIMO, Beamforming, VoLTE, and VoNR. * Expert-level understanding of mobility optimization, capacity engineering, interference management, and coverage optimization. * Practical experience with Nokia RAN architecture, NetAct, SON functionalities, and advanced performance analytics. * Advanced trace analysis and protocol troubleshooting capabilities. * Experience with Actix, Nemo, Atoll, and other optimization tools. * Knowledge of automation, scripting, and performance analytics platforms. * Strong understanding of Shared RAN performance governance and multi-operator optimization requirements. * Advanced understanding of trace analysis and troubleshooting.
