About the Role

~1 min read

As the Human Resources Operations Officer, you will be one of the first points of contact for managers and employees seeking support and advice on workforce matters. Working as part of the HR Operations team in the broader People and Culture work unit, you'll help deliver a positive employee experience by providing practical, timely and accurate advice across recruitment, employment conditions, workforce administration, and policy interpretation.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll be balancing competing priorities, responding to enquiries, preparing and reviewing workforce documentation and supporting managers to navigate workforce processes with confidence. Attention to detail is critical, but so is your ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively and provide great customer service.

Whether you are starting your HR career, bringing experience from administration or customer-focused roles, or looking for a new challenge, this role offers the opportunity to build your HR expertise while making a meaningful contribution to our workforce and workplace culture.

You're a people person who enjoys helping others and takes pride in delivering a great customer experience. You build rapport easily, communicate confidently and understand that small interactions can have a big impact on an employee's experience at work.

You thrive in a busy environment, can juggle multiple priorities and remain organised and professional under pressure. You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy solving problems and are committed to getting things right. Most importantly, you're someone who wants to contribute positively to the team, support continuous improvement and help create a workplace where people feel valued and supported.

To succeed in the Human Resources Operations Officer role, you will:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and provide clear, practical advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships through collaboration, trust and a strong customer service focus.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute positively within a team environment.
  • Research, analyse and resolve workforce matters while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Apply sound judgement and a commitment to professional, compliant and inclusive HR practices.

Spread across the Limestone Coast and South Australia, the People and Culture team works together to support our workforce at every stage of the employee journey.
