OperationsSupply Chain Manager

Charlotte, NC (near I-77 and I-85)  |  Full-time, on-site  |  Reports to the VP/General Manager, Pompano Beach, FL  |  $72,000–$80,000 + bonus

Launch it. Run it.

CabinetParts, a nationwide e-commerce supplier of cabinet hardware and accessories, is opening a new regional distribution center in Charlotte, NC to serve customers across the eastern United States. We're looking for a hands-on operations leader to launch it and run it.

This isn't a role where you inherit someone else's issues. As the senior manager on site, you'll set up the facility, hire and train your own team, and run the day-to-day operation. Your GM is based in Florida, so you'll have real autonomy, with the training and backing of an established company behind you.

The operation at a glance

  • Facility: 12,000 sq. ft. small-parts warehouse near I-77 and I-85
  • Volume: 250–500 small-parcel orders per day, shipped across the eastern U.S.
  • Team: 2 warehouse associates at launch, hired and trained by you
  • Scope: receiving, inventory control, kitting, picking and packing, shipping, and returns
  • Timeline: two weeks of paid training at our Florida headquarters, followed by the Charlotte start-up in January 2027 and go-live in February 2027

What you'll do

  • Train at our headquarters in Pompano Beach, FL, then lead the Charlotte start-up: manage the layout, racking, and workflows to meet company standards and refine them as volume grows.
  • Hire, train, and lead your team in time for the February 2027 launch. This is a hands-on, working manager's role where you will often work alongside your team on the floor.
  • Own all site operations: order administration, receiving, inventory, kitting, fulfillment, shipping, returns, facility management, safety, and security.
  • Work with purchasing and order administration to get orders to customers accurately, quickly, and safely.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS), and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Coach and motivate your team. Give regular feedback, deliver honest performance reviews, and in collaboration with offsite HR, manage employee issues, including discipline and, when necessary, termination.
  • Keep the facility safe, clean, and orderly, and in compliance with OSHA and state and local regulations.
  • Manage key performance outcomes such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, and inventory accuracy on a monthly basis.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of successful operations management experience, including hiring and managing hourly employees (references required)
  • Working knowledge of warehouse and shipping procedures, especially UPS, FedEx, and USPS small-parcel shipping
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems. (Freestyle Solutions-M.O.M a plus)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Associate degree +
  • Sound judgment and the ability to solve problems and make decisions without on-site supervision
  • A leader who communicates clearly with people at all levels and is comfortable giving frequent, direct feedback
  • Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours when order volume requires

Nice to have

  • Experience opening a new facility or leading a warehouse start-up
  • E-commerce or small-parts fulfillment experience
  • Process improvement experience with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma
  • Experience with RF/barcode scanning
  • Forklift certification

Physical requirements

  • Stand and walk for up to 8–10 hours
  • Safely lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stretch, and reach regularly, both below the waist and overhead
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts

What we offer

  • $72,000 - $80,000 plus annual profit share bonus plan up to 10% of base
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans; IRA with match; earned PT and holidays
  • Predictable Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am-5 pm; some Saturdays during busier winter season
  • Paid training at our Florida headquarters [travel and lodging covered]
  • The rare chance to build a site from the ground up and shape its team and culture
  • Room to grow with the company as we expand
