RN - Registered Nurse, Pediatrics

$33.00 / Hour - $50.00 / Hour

Our kids are medically fragile. Many breathe through a trach, rely on a vent and eat through a G-tube. Some can't tell you something's wrong. Your assessment is their voice. Here, an RN's judgment doesn't just matter. It's everything.

 

• Pay: $33–$45/hr, based on experience
• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour day shifts a week. Four days off.
• Patients: Children with trachs, vents, G-tubes and complex medical needs
• Training: 3+ weeks of paid, hands-on pediatric orientation before you're on your own
• Team: RTs, providers and therapists in the building every day
• Commute: Free parking and no city traffic

• →Assess medically complex children and act quickly on subtle changes
• →Manage trach, vent and G-tube care with RTs and the care team
• →Give medications and treatments safely and accurately
• →Coordinate care with providers, therapists and families
• →Guide and support LPNs and nurse technicians on your shift
• →Document clearly and follow each child's care plan

• Current Pennsylvania RN license, or a multistate (compact) RN license valid in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR and First Aid
• Pediatric, trach/vent or long-term care experience is a plus, not required
• Meets Child Care Supervisor qualifications under 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
• Calm under pressure, sharp at assessment and great with families
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
