This is a hybrid role (3 days a week on-site) out of our San Francisco office.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or automation (assembly, inspection, test station design, or factory deployment).
- Hands-on experience developing manufacturing test software in Python, C, C++, Rust.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting development builds and mass production with global manufacturing partners.
- Willingness to travel upto 25% across domestic and international factory sites.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience working with wearables, consumer electronics, sensors, or embedded systems.
- Strong background in test station qualification and correlation (calibration, GR&R, Cp/Cpk, DOE).
- Experience working cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, systems, quality, and operations teams.
- Familiarity with optical, RF, or semiconductor-based test methodologies.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a global, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across cultures and time zones.
- What Success Looks Like:
- First 90 Days: You've completed a DFT review on at least one active program, built working relationships with CM test teams and cross-functional partners (Hardware, Quality, Operations), and audited existing test stations, fixtures, and software for coverage gaps.
- 6 Months: You've architected and deployed a production test station or major test software release, closed at least one significant correlation or test gap between internal labs and CM factories, and shown measurable improvement in yield or false-call rate on an owned product line.
- 12 Months: You're the recognized technical authority for test engineering on your product line(s), CM teams can sustain your test solutions independently, and you've contributed reusable test frameworks or playbooks adopted by other programs.
