This position provides technical leadership and hands-on delivery across React interfaces, backend services, APIs, and databases using AI-assisted Spec-Driven Development (SDD). It owns architecture, code quality, delivery standards, and production readiness, including reviewing, testing, debugging, and correcting AI-generated and manually written code, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product, UX, specialists, and clients to deliver scalable, high-performance experiences. You will combine deep React expertise with practical backend capability and the ability to implement solutions independently of AI.

Responsibilities

→Lead full-stack architecture and development; evaluate cross-layer dependencies and trade-offs, and align implementation plans with existing architecture
→Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and clean, maintainable development practices
→Ensure performance, security, accessibility, and scalability standards are met
→Manage React upgrades and framework updates as needed
→Apply SDD: clarify requirements with product, business analysis, UX, and engineering; review measurable acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements. Contribute plans and tasks, supply repository context and guardrails to approved AI tools, and implement in reviewable increments. Keep specifications, code, and tests aligned and follow approval gates
→Review human- and AI-generated frontend, backend, and data-access code for business logic, specification alignment, security, maintainability, dependencies, and test adequacy. Combine automated evidence with judgment; approve only explainable, validated changes. Mentor developers in SDD, AI use, and review practices
→Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, high-quality React interfaces
→Diagnose issues across browser, APIs, services, databases, and deployments using logs, traces, and reproducible tests. Validate AI-proposed fixes and make targeted corrections
→Own unit, component, integration, API, and end-to-end testing using Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalents. Test acceptance criteria, negative paths, authorization, data integrity, and non-functional requirements. Independently verify generated code and test assertions; enforce CI/CD quality and security checks before merge
→Collaborate across teams and stakeholders; work directly with clients on technical decisions and issue resolution
→Stay current with front-end technologies and industry practices; share knowledge and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

Experience in SQL and relational databases, including schema design, relationships, constraints, transactions, indexes, and migrations; reviewing generated queries and data-access code for correctness, integrity, performance, and safe parameters; and using NoSQL where required
Experience in designing, implementing, integrating, and reviewing REST APIs in at least one backend stack, such as Node.js/TypeScript or equivalent, including validating contracts, inputs, authentication, authorization, business rules, and error handling, and independently correcting generated backend code
Experience in React.js with strong expertise in functional components, hooks, context, and performance optimization; TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS, and styling with CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, or similar
Experience in working hands-on with npm, Yarn, pnpm, or Bun
Experience in state management using Redux or Zustand
Familiarity with Next.js or a similar React framework is a plus
Experience in using Git proficiently, including focused pull requests and peer review, versioning specifications and implementation artifacts, linking code and tests to acceptance criteria, and updating artifacts as requirements or designs change
Experience in practical AI-assisted development with GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, or equivalents for code, tests, and documentation, including supplying requirements, context, constraints, and acceptance criteria; reviewing plans and output; refining specifications; correcting code; escalating when needed; and following approved-tool, confidentiality, credential, dependency, and agent-permission policies. SDD workflow competence is essential; familiarity with Spec Kit or equivalent is desirable
Experience in frontend team or technical leadership, including reviews, decisions, and mentoring; coordinating end-to-end delivery; reviewing cross-stack changes; explaining trade-offs; and seeking specialist review beyond personal expertise
Understanding of Angular, Vue.js, or other JavaScript frameworks sufficient to review code and support teams beyond React
Knowledge of CI/CD, environment configuration, secrets, deployment validation, logging, monitoring, and rollback. Micro-frontends and cloud-hosted frontend deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP are a strong plus

Translate business needs into scalable solutions; identify ambiguities, missing criteria, edge cases, and unsupported assumptions. Challenge AI recommendations and justify decisions with engineering principles and validation evidence
Explain technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Evaluate alternatives and use logical analysis to validate solutions
Learn quickly, work independently and collaboratively, and manage competing tasks and deadlines

Over 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with demonstrated delivery across React, backend services, and databases. Show architectural judgment, correction of unfamiliar or generated code, and validation against acceptance criteria through project evidence or a practical exercise
A background in CS, IT, or a related scientific discipline is preferred
