Why You’ll Love Working Here

Our pioneering technology fortifies staple grains in African mills, reaching over 70 million people daily. Our solution is more than a product; it’s a mission of saving lives. You will be part of a passionate, mission-driven team committed to transforming health outcomes across Africa. We foster a high-performance work environment where career development is supported, and employee wellbeing is a priority.  Our guarantee is that you will find a culture that makes you want to show up every day!

What is Expected of You

As our Warehouse Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of day-to-day warehouse operations in Kampala, managing the receiving, put-away, picking, and packing of the products that power our mission, and making sure quality standards are met at every step. This role calls for someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to keep track of many parts of the warehouse at any given time.

How You’ll Deliver Impact

  1. Manage the warehouse in compliance with Sanku’s policies and procedures.
  2. Identify the causes of shrinkage in the warehouse and take corrective action to keep losses to a minimum.
  3. Maintain optimum stock levels to meet demand by flagging potential stock-outs and working with the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely replenishment.
  4. Manage the receiving of items and inventory, ensuring documentation, system entries, and physical items match, and supervise the movement of goods into the warehouse.
  5. Manage the put-away process, including timely inventory labeling, correct physical placement of inventory, and completion of system entries.
  6. Manage order fulfillment, including timely attention to approved sales orders, accurate picking, quality packaging, and completion of system entries.
  7. Ensure warehouse tools and equipment are well maintained and securely stored to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  8. Conduct monthly cycle counts and report on warehouse activities as required.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mainly production, delivery, and sales, to keep operations smooth and uphold Sanku’s mission.
  10. Maintain the physical filing system and monitor and track licenses and other statutory requirements.
  11. Carry out any other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time.

What We Are Looking For

  1. 2+ years of warehouse management experience, including at least 1 year in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees.
  2. Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Procurement, or Warehousing.
  3. Good knowledge of warehouse management policies, procedures, and best practices, with proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
