In this role, we are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join the ADP Innovation Labs Quality Engineering team. This is a highly technical hands-on role focused on ensuring end-to-end quality for next-generation HCM (Human Capital Management) products that leverage agentic AI capabilities, including conversational interfaces, multi-step LLM-driven workflows, and intelligent automation. • →Test Strategy & Leadership: Contribute to the QA strategy for agentic HCM features and payroll products; execute test plans, support risk-based testing approaches, and help ensure quality standards across conversational AI and traditional UI surfaces.
• → Agentic & Conversational AI Testing: Design and execute test strategies for LLM-driven agentic flows — validating multi-turn conversation correctness, intent resolution, state machine transitions, edge case handling, and graceful failure modes in AI-assisted HCM workflows.
• →Automation Architecture: Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and ARISE; expand test coverage for conversation-driven flows, event lifecycle validation, and API-layer verification.
• → Event & API Validation: Validate HCM event canonicals (hire, terminate, payroll submission, etc.) end-to-end — from conversation inputs through business logic execution to data persistence; test GraphQL mutations, possibilities, and variant resolution.
• →CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ECS-based runners); support quality gates per PR and deployment across all environments (DIT, FIT, STG, PROD).
• →Team Mentorship: Collaborate with QA engineers across experience levels, participate in code reviews, and contribute to test automation best practices in a TypeScript-first environment.
• →Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers, developers, and release managers to align on quality criteria, AI behavior expectations, risk areas, and release readiness.
• → Metrics & Reporting: Define and track QA KPIs — test pass rates, automation coverage, agentic flow accuracy, defect escape rate, and mean time to detect (MTTD).
• →Tooling & Innovation: Evaluate and adopt emerging QA tooling; stay current with AI testing techniques including prompt regression testing, conversation replay, and LLM output evaluation frameworks.

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, including significant hands-on experience with test automation and modern software development practices.
• Bachelor's degree related discipline is desired.
• Agentic / Conversational AI Testing: Hands-on experience testing LLM-powered conversational or agentic applications — validating state machines, intent classification, multi-turn context, and non-deterministic outputs.
• ARISE: Experience with the ARISE test automation platform for HCM event and conversation testing; experience authoring, tagging, and executing test suites across environments.
• Playwright: Strong hands-on experience building Playwright test suites (TypeScript preferred); familiar with auto-waiting, network interception, API context, and trace viewer.
• GraphQL Testing: Demonstrated experience testing GraphQL APIs — mutations, queries, schema validation, and data integrity checks in HCM event flows.
•  CI/CD: Solid experience integrating test frameworks with Jenkins or equivalent; familiar with artifact management and test reporting pipelines.
•  Programming: Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript; comfortable writing maintainable, reviewable test code at scale.
•  API Testing: Proficiency with REST and GraphQL API testing; experience validating event-driven microservice architectures.
•  Cloud & Environments: Familiarity with AWS services and multi-environment test management (DIT/FIT/STG/PROD lifecycle).

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to decompose complex agentic conversation flows and HCM business rules into testable scenarios.
• Comfort working with probabilistic, non-deterministic system outputs — able to define pass/fail criteria for LLM-generated responses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication — can articulate quality risk for AI behaviors to both engineers and business stakeholders.
• Ownership mentality: proactively identifies coverage gaps in agentic flows before they reach production.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe delivery teams with continuous deployment cadences.
• Familiarity with accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1) and internationalization (i18n) testing across multi-country HCM features.
• Passion for delivering high-quality software and continuously improving testing practices for AI-powered enterprise applications.
