→Own the CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions end to end, including build, test, deployment to each environment, and a tested rollback path for every production deployment target
→Administer the firm's GitHub organization: repository structure and templates, branching strategy, branch protection, access, and the platform's security features
→Own configuration and management of the Azure resources that department-built applications run on, including App Service, Azure SQL, storage, networking, Key Vault, Application Insights and identity, following the department's Azure standard for naming, tagging and environment separation
→Define and maintain infrastructure as code in Bicep, keeping manual configuration of production resources to documented exceptions
→Manage secrets through Azure Key Vault, apply least-privilege access to managed identities, service principals and role assignments, and act on automated dependency and code scanning findings
→Instrument systems with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and lead diagnosis of build, deployment, configuration, permission and access faults across the platform
→Review developers' pull requests for deployability, security and infrastructure impact, and deliver own work through the same review
→Build and maintain back-end services and integrations with the firm's business systems, such as Workday and STAR, where that work is assigned to this role
→Use the department's AI tooling for development and operations, running the department's agents in Claude Code and agentic workflows in GitHub Copilot, within the firm's rules on what may enter an AI tool
→Monitor Azure consumption, apply tagging and budget alerts, and surface cost anomalies and optimization opportunities to management
→Maintain runbooks for deployment, rollback, incident response and provisioning to a standard the Application Development & Support Manager can execute unaided, and keep architecture and decision records current without oversight
→Work with the firm's Infrastructure and Security departments on network, identity and access matters outside this department's authority, and escalate security questions not addressed by existing development policy to the internal security team prior to implementation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
Approximately 3–7 years of DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience
Formal training or certification in Microsoft products such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Azure Administrator (AZ-104) preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure core services, resource provisioning, and identity and access management with Entra ID
Demonstrated experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
Proficiency with Git and collaborative GitHub workflows, including branching strategy, branch protection and organization administration
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code in Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
Proficiency with at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Back-end development experience in C# and .NET, including REST APIs and integrations with third-party systems
Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and M365
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise judgment on escalation, and document decisions clearly, with exceptional interpersonal, decision-making, and analytical abilities
Ability to travel, as needed
