Trade Finance Operations Officer (Maternity Cover)

Job Purpose

• The purpose of the role is to manage all operational aspects of DP World Trade Finance from day-to-day transactions

Key Accountabilities:

• Act as an ambassador for DP World always when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values, and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

• Act as a Subject Matter expertise for all operational aspects and be accountable in terms of implementation.

• Review of core operational activities like onboarding, disbursements, and settlements.

• Client engagement including follow ups on facility Utilisation.

• Be responsible for the recording and reporting of the information in DP World Trade Finance platform ensuring accuracy and Turnaround Time

• Execute day to day operations to ensure the service is delivered as per the guidelines set.

• Execute Client and Financial Institution KYC within the defined SLA and in line with regulatory guidelines.

• Monitor ongoing KYC renewals and ensure timely follow up with the clients and Financial Institution for documents and related information.

• Execute Loan transactions for all the products offered by DP World Trade Finance and related activities as per the defined process and SLA.

• Coordinate with clients for of the efficient utilisation of credit facilities.

• Act as a Subject Matter expertise and ensure that the proper implementation of Standard Operating procedures and other related policies.

• Periodic review and accountability of the client documents like facility agreements and housekeeping of all the common operations SharePoint, physical docs and share drive.

• Communicate with customers, internal stakeholders (sales, compliance, credit, product, etc.)  to resolve exceptional cases

• Manage all transactions on the platform and monitoring transactions.

• Liaise with Financial Institutions where applicable to resolve client issues in a timely & efficient manner.

• Ensure all operational controls are implemented as per Policy and Procedure

• Highlighting risks/incidents impacting business with relevant stakeholders and ensure there is a mitigation plan that is put into place.

• Ensuring and participating in the testing of new system/changes to existing system and share observations regularly.

• Periodic and ad hoc update to Head of operations on all the operational aspects including client feedback or any other escalating matters.

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5-10 years’ experience in Trade Finance/Corporate & Commercial Banking operations. (Experience in Financial Institutions / Trade Finance Funds is an advantage)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounts or Banking or equivalent

• Knowledge in Trade Finance products and KYC, AML guidelines
