Electronics Engineer, R&D Stockholm

Want to start your engineering career by designing the electronics inside network cameras used around the world? We're looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our growing R&D site in central Stockholm. You'll work with electronics from the first concept all the way to a finished product that's ready to sell.

Our Stockholm R&D site has grown to more than 50 colleagues. We're still early in our journey but we are growing fast. That means you can help shape how we work while being part of the world leader in network video.

We develop network-based surveillance cameras. We work in projects together with engineers and designers from other departments such as mechanics, firmware and imaging engineers. We keep processes and control to a minimum, and ideas are welcome from everyone, not just from the top. Here, your voice is heard.

As an Electronics Engineer at Axis, you play a central role in designing, testing and certifying the electronics in products that help make the world safer and more secure. You'll be part of the project from concept to production, until the product you and your team built is ready to be sold.

Projects vary a lot. They range from 3-month concept studies, for example in sensor technology, to 2-year projects developing advanced cameras. Your work will include:

  • →Designing electronics, including system design, schematics and component selection
  • →Testing and verifying your designs hands-on in the lab, including soldering
  • →Certifying the electronics so our products meet the required standards
  • →Working across disciplines with engineers and designers from other departments
  • →Following the product from concept to production

You'll get a lot of responsibility and freedom from the start. Your mentor and experienced colleagues will support you as you grow into the role.

You're curious with an interest in technology, and electronics is what you're most passionate about. You like to take initiative and enjoy working independently. You find it easy to reach out to people and build contacts. You're thorough and take the time to understand the problem you're solving, both the big picture and the details. You enjoy sharing what you know, you stay humble, and you're motivated by working in an environment that keeps changing.
