About the Role

~2 min read

The Managing Operations Associate Attorney plays a critical leadership role at the intersection of legal excellence, operational effectiveness, and client advocacy. This attorney serves as a trusted legal advisor to Staff Attorneys, providing guidance on case strategy, legal analysis, and complex immigration matters while helping ensure exceptional client outcomes across a high-volume practice.

In this role, the attorney oversees legal support functions by conducting escalated case reviews, advising clients on sophisticated immigration issues, and serving as a key resource for attorneys and non-attorney staff alike. The attorney provides timely legal guidance, identifies matters requiring attorney review, and helps maintain the highest standards of legal accuracy, compliance, and client service.

As a leader within the Legal Operations Department, the Managing Operations Associate Attorney drives consistency and operational excellence by coordinating legal training initiatives, fostering collaboration between legal and operations teams, and promoting the uniform application of firm policies, procedures, and legal standards. This position is instrumental in developing talent, strengthening legal competencies, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

The attorney also partners closely with the Business Development Department and serves as the Firm's designated attorney leader for assigned office operations. Maintaining a strong in-office presence, the attorney provides local attorney oversight, ensures compliance with professional and ethical responsibilities, and collaborates with the Regional Manager to support and guide the Intake Manager responsible for day-to-day office operations. In addition, the attorney works closely with Legal Leadership and the Office of General Counsel to proactively address legal, ethical, compliance, and operational matters.
