At the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT), we’re on a mission to translate scientific discovery into real world impact. We bring together visionary scientists, technologists, engineers, researchers, educators and innovators to tackle humanity’s greatest challenges in four transformative areas:

  • Health, Medical Science & Generative Biology
  • Food Security & Sustainable Agriculture
  • Climate Change & Managing CO₂
  • Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

This is ambitious work - work that demands curiosity, courage, and a relentless drive to make a difference. At EIT, you’ll join a community built on excellence, innovation, tenacity, trust, and collaboration, where bold ideas become real-world breakthroughs. Together, we push boundaries, embrace complexity, and create solutions to scale ideas from lab to society. Explore more at www.eit.org.

At EIT we are seeking a proactive and organised Community Operations Coordinator to support the Community Engagement Manager in delivering EIT’s community programmes, including STEM outreach, school partnerships, volunteering, residents’ liaison and wider community projects. The role will involve frequent interaction with EIT colleagues and representation within local communities, while juggling projects, key timelines and tasks to manage the operations and co-ordination of the Community team.

The Community Operations Coordinator will play a key part in EIT’s growing Community team. You will help deliver a joined-up, place-based approach to community engagement, and help to turn ideas into action. We are committed to developing local talent, inspiring the next generation into STEM careers, and creating sustainable impact in partnership with the communities around us. We are also building EIT’s capacity to engage with local communities and embed community engagement into everything we do as we grow as a STEM institution. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivery, and a proactive, organised “go-getter” who can help turn ideas into reality - and who cares about making a positive difference in the local area.
