AI & Operations Lead

AI is already a big part of our products and of how our colleagues work. What we’re missing is someone who sees the whole picture.

That person makes sure we automate as much as possible of how we work towards our strategic goals as a company. There’s also a lot to gain at team and individual level, and AI plays a big part in all of it.

Over the next few years we want to grow substantially in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark, without our headcount growing at the same pace. That only works if AI and good processes take over part of the work in every team. We’re looking for someone who turns one-off experiments into a standard way of working, and who leads that change themselves.

• You make sure our OKR process is automated as much as possible, that everyone knows what’s expected of them each year, quarter and month, and that we keep an eye on the right numbers.

• You own the content and roll-out of our shared knowledge base (the “12Build Brain”), which every AI agent at 12Build draws on. It holds what we know, how we work, which agents we have and which initiatives we’re working on. Our strategy and the big decisions behind it belong there too.

• You work out, team by team, where AI really saves time, prioritise the ideas and get the best ones live. When one colleague tries something out, you turn it into a workflow the whole team uses.

• You help shape our software stack. You keep track of what gets used and how it all connects, and you retire tools and processes that no longer fit.

• A role with a seat at the strategy table and the chance to directly shape how we work every day, as a company, as teams and as individuals.

• You use AI tools yourself every day and enjoy building your own workflows.

• You have experience in something like operations or enablement at a growing SaaS company, and you know how to get more done without the team growing at the same rate.

• You have experience with process automation and project management. People will regularly ask you where something stands or how something works, so your planning is on point and you have an eye for detail.

• You can clearly explain how a situation fits together, why something needs to happen and what that “something” looks like. You can do this out loud, and above all in writing.

• You’re good at solving problems and you think critically.

• As you’ll have noticed, this role sits between lots of different people. That makes empathy important. You can put yourself in someone else’s shoes and you use that in your work. You also stand your ground and aren’t afraid to hold colleagues to their responsibilities.
