Demi Chef 中級廚師

Key Responsibilities

• Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in the daily operation and work
• Work according to the menu specifications
• Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hospital
• Control food stock and food cost in his/her section
• Follow the instructions and recommendations from supervisor(s) to complete the daily tasks
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
• Work on irregular hours when necessary
• Perform any other duties (in the capacity as Demi Chef) as assigned by supervisor(s) from time to time

主要職責

• 協助高級廚師及副行政主廚進行日常的食材處理及烹調工作
• 配合菜單的指示工作
• 保持工作環境衛生清潔並遵守醫院制訂的相關規定
• 確保其負責範圍的食材倉存及成本控制
• 依循上司的指示及建議完全日常工作
• 確保每日的工作均能持續地達到最高標準並時刻了解新產品、菜譜及食材處理技巧的知識
• 與其他分部的同事合作處理廚房清潔、廢物處置、成本控制及其他要求
• 有需要時須不定時工作
• 執行其他由上司指派的職務

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience preferably in hospital or hotel industry
• Good cooking skills and knowledge in Western or Asian cuisine
• Good understanding of basic food hygiene practices and workplace safety
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong organisational skills
• Positive manner and team player qualities

• 對基本食物衛生程序及工作環境安全有良好認識

Compensation and Employment Terms

We provide a unique employment experience for people seeking careers in hospital and healthcare industry; and offer competitive remuneration packages to the successful candidates. Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
