Join Airservices Australia's ARFFS NexGen Program and play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects that support Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS) across Australia.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects across the Eastern region, managing the delivery of new facilities, upgrades and associated infrastructure works from planning and design through to construction, commissioning and operational handover.

Working within a collaborative and highly capable team, you'll partner with contractors, consultants and operational stakeholders to deliver projects that directly support the future of aviation safety and emergency response capabilities nationwide.

Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11% of the world's airspace and the provision of aviation rescue fire fighting services at Australia's busiest airports.

Our people are our greatest asset, with a dynamic and diverse workforce operating across metropolitan, regional and remote locations throughout Australia. Together, we help connect people safely with their world while supporting economic growth, trade and tourism.

Airservices is committed to fostering a culture that is diverse, inclusive and respectful. We encourage motivated individuals who value collaboration, accountability and service excellence to explore a career with Airservices.

As a Senior Project Manager within the ARFFS NexGen Program, you will be responsible for leading multiple concurrent infrastructure and construction projects across Airservices' Eastern Region portfolio.

You will oversee all phases of project delivery, including planning, design management, procurement, tendering, contractor engagement, construction delivery, commissioning and project close-out. Working across a geographically dispersed stakeholder network, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with operational requirements.

This role forms part of a close-knit and experienced project team that values collaboration, transparency and practical problem-solving. You will have the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant infrastructure programs while working alongside project professionals delivering complex outcomes across the Airservices network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets and governance requirements.
  • Managing consultants, contractors and delivery partners.
  • Monitoring project performance, risks, issues and project dependencies.
  • Building strong relationships with operational, technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of ARFFS NexGen and associated infrastructure initiatives.
  • Driving safe project delivery outcomes and compliance with organisational governance frameworks.
