The Administrative & Technical Support Officer plays a dual role, providing administrative support to the MDH Department while also assisting in technical tasks related to electrical systems, particularly within fire safety and security applications. This position requires a mix of organizational skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities to ensure smooth office operations and effective technical support. 

 

Key Responsibilities 


Administrative Support

  • Handle office communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence.  
  • Organize meetings, maintain calendars, and coordinate documentation.  
  • Maintain office records, databases, and filing systems with accuracy and confidentiality.  
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit reports, memos, and presentations.  
  • Assist with document management, including contracts, invoices, and financial records.  
  • Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.  
  • Handle petty cash, invoice processing, and liaise with the finance department. 

 

Technical Assistance & Equipment Maintenance

  • Assist electrical technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations. 
  • Ensure tools and materials are available and in safe working condition. 
  • Support the laying and termination of cables, updating technical drawings, and using hand and power tools. 
  • Carry out inspections and assist in the installation and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. 
  • Ensure the maintenance and functionality of access control systems for every individual. 
  • Follow industry and company standards for safety and compliance. 

 

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards for both office administration and technical work. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to technical and administrative operations. 
  • Identify and report potential hazards, assisting in risk mitigation. 
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and uniforms. 

 

Brand Image & Customer Satisfaction

  • Uphold a professional and positive company image in all interactions. 
  • Ensure quality installations and customer satisfaction, addressing concerns as needed. 
  • Represent the company in a professional manner during client interactions. 

 

Cross Departmental Support  

  • Support various departments with administrative needs. 
  • Perform additional tasks as required to maintain efficient office operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • Experience in administration preferably in a technical environment. 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety standards. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, office management software, and administrative tools. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is a plus. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage both admin and technical responsibilities. 
  • Experience in customer service and coordination is beneficial. 
  • Valid driving license (if required for site visits or technical assistance).
