AMT is seeking a Business Development Manager with 5–10 years of experience to support strategic growth initiatives in our Site and Infrastructure Development and Surveying and SUE Divisions. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, enhancing brand visibility, and supporting new client relationships. The position will be based in either our Rockville, Maryland, or District of Columbia locations.  Candidates with experience in site infrastructure and development, transportation and surveying services in the DMV are strongly encouraged to apply.
 
The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Vice President – Director of the Site & Infrastructure Division. This position plays a critical role in shaping the Divisions growth strategy and market presence of the lead initiatives that drive client engagement, brand visibility, and strategic expansion in the land development, site infrastructure, surveying and SUE private and public markets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, strategic thinker, and team collaborator with a passion for building relationships and delivering results. 
  • Implement marketing strategies aligned with AMT’s branding and business goals.
  • Provide client and industry research and intelligence to Identify and pursue new business opportunities across public and private sectors.
  • Implement corporate branding efforts, including website updates, social media presence, and marketing campaigns as directed by the Marketing & Business Development Director.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 –10 years of experience in business development and marketing, preferably within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Site Infrastructure industries).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Plus: Experience in transportation and surveying services.
