As the Senior Director, Global Product Management, Men's, you deliver on the global Product Line Management (PLM) strategies and directions for long-range, profitable, seasonal assortments and line plans, across assigned product categories. You lead and mentor a team who create new ways of working across product lines and categories, to deliver a unique commercialization experience. You translate our design vision into compelling, consumer-centric product framework plans, realized through product development and merchandising execution. You build bridges within your teams and cross-functionally to ensure the Go to Market (GTM) plan is realized, guiding the representation of our product experience through all channels.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Product Line Management (PLM) team is responsible for determining and delivering the right product, at the right place, at the right time. In partnership with the Merchant team, PLM delivers product lines that supports the overall Design creative direction, while driving company sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals, on a global scale. This high performing team works closely with the Design and Product Creation Development teams to bring the product vision to life through future seasonal line plans, and partners with the Costing and Sourcing teams on the upstream side of the product cycle. 
  • Developing and driving long term (5+ year plans) merchandising strategies for all assigned categories and product areas (3+ functions/categories), realizing the creative vision to bring line plans to market
  • Overseeing a senior team who lead their teams in executing the global strategy for all assigned product categories; who plan for long term glide path, seasonal line plans and monthly flow to all channels
  • Providing support to VP, PLM to further enable scope and expansion across the PLM function
  • Leading in relationship cross-functionally to stand up new ways of working by exploring process to achieve operational excellence, building alignment proactively with senior leaders across the Commercial, Research & Development (R&D), Creative, and Product Creation Development teams and with consideration for on and off-calendar categories
  • Interpreting strategic insights regularly; identifying additional long-term product assortment or business growth opportunities
  • Applying expert knowledge of the market and global research to position Arc’teryx as a pinnacle brand
  • Monitoring and reporting team performance metrics regularly to leadership
  • Overseeing the innovation engine in-line strategy, finding opportunities to accelerate commercialization
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
  • Setting long-term vision and strategies for your categories, aligning with enterprise priorities and tirelessly enrolling partners in the vision
  • Contributing to the holistic business evolution in a senior leadership capacity
  • Collaborating with the Regional Merchandising teams to test new concepts in single markets
  • You have 12+ years’ experience in merchandising with a product-led brands, and 7+ years’ experience leading a team
  • You are product-obsessed, with a drive for understanding the “why” behind new products, and an unparallel capacity for product knowledge
  • You have expertise in driving strategy, line planning and line architecture
  • You have a proven track record in developing and leading the execution of a multi-year business strategy
  • You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
  • You are an influential leader; possessing high emotional intelligence, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional groups at all levels of the business
  • You have strong business acumen with the ability to lead in a complex matrix business environment
  • You thrive on building relationships and creating partnerships across the organization
  • You have proven people leadership skills and the ability to build, coach and guide a diverse and high performing team 
  • You demonstrate tireless integrity in driving excellence to milestones and deliverables
  • You have a strong understanding of outdoor apparel marketplace
  • You flourish in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment and thrive on contributing to our brand and team’s evolution
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions

  • The salary range for this role is CAD$126,000 - CAD$165,000
