About the Role

The front desk is where a guest's experience begins and ends. As a Guest Service Agent, your job is to make sure that experience feels easy, personal, and genuinely welcoming; from the moment someone walks in, to the moment they check out. This is a hands-on, people-facing role. You'll manage the day-to-day flow of arrivals and departures, handle reservations, answer questions about the city, and take care of guest needs as they come up.

Responsibilities

→Greet and check in guests warmly and efficiently
→Manage reservations, room assignments, and billing
→Answer questions about the property and offer genuine local recommendations
→Coordinate with other departments to follow through on guest requests
→Address concerns promptly and with care
→Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas
→Uphold all hotel policies and procedures, ensuring the security and privacy of our guests
→Embody the spirit of Shenandoah Mansions through thoughtful service and consistent reliability
→Keep the front desk running smoothly across every shift
→Other duties as assigned

Part-time, flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Previous front desk or customer-facing experience preferred
Familiarity with property management systems a plus

Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with hotel PMS systems (preferably Opera or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

✓Hourly Rate: $17.50

✓Part-time employees are eligible to accrue paid sick time per Rhode Island state law.
