Responsibilities

  • Grow and maintain strategic relationships with architects, engineers, lighting designers, and other project specifiers to influence product selection early in the design cycle.
  • Deliver engaging and technically sound presentations, both virtually and in-person, that align with customer needs and showcase the latest advancements in lighting systems.
  • Proactively develop and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, leading specification efforts from conceptual stages through quote and final order.
  • Stay ahead of lighting trends and emerging technologies, becoming a trusted advisor and resource to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, design teams, and manufacturer partners to deliver tailored lighting solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Own the sales process end-to-end, from initial engagement to quote support, technical advising, and post-sale follow-through.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and teamwork, contributing to knowledge sharing and a strong client-first service model.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in lighting specification sales or adjacent roles in the lighting, electrical, or construction industries.
  • Proven track record of success working with architectural and engineering firms to drive project-based sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree or LC certification preferred.
  • Proficient in lighting design platforms and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Skilled in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly for in-person meetings and presentations.
