Responsibilities

  • Serve walk in and phone customers with a helpful, solutions-focused approach.
  • Guide customers to the right products based on jobsite needs, timelines, and budget considerations.
  • Prepare quotes, enter sales orders, process returns, and support will call pickups with strong attention to detail.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse and delivery teams to keep orders accurate and customer commitments on track.
  • Strengthen repeat business by building solid relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers, and service technicians.
  • Monitor product availability, communicate updates clearly, and help identify practical alternatives when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, polished sales area that is fully prepared to handle consistent customer traffic and daily interactions.
  • Handle transactions and branch paperwork accurately while maintaining a high standard of customer care.
  • Experience in counter sales, inside sales, wholesale distribution, retail building products, or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, building material, or related trade products is strongly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and a service mindset that builds confidence with customers.
  • Comfort working in a busy branch setting where priorities can shift throughout the day.
  • Ability to learn internal systems for order entry, pricing, and inventory lookup.
  • Reliable and collaborative professional with a proactive mindset, strong follow-through, and the ability to respond quickly in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to lift and move product as needed in a branch environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
