The Role
We’re on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Account Manager - Digital & Social to lead day-to-day client relationships and oversee the delivery of social media campaigns across some of the biggest names in sport.
This hybrid role blends client account management with social media strategy. You’ll be the driving force behind delivering campaigns from concept to execution ensuring performance and creativity go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
- Establish strong and trusted relationships with agency clients, and take an active role in understanding their businesses, brands and objectives and how the agency impacts the business
- Act as a primary delivery point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships across key stakeholders
- Manage client expectations around timelines, deliverables, and scope, escalating to Account Directors as needed
- Assist the account team and department heads with strategy decks, and campaign performance reporting internally and externally to clients
Project Management
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for all project related tasks, including translating client briefs, briefing internal departments, and providing status updates to internal and external stakeholders, including maintaining up-to-date status or WIP documents
- Be apart of, and eventually lead, regular internal and external WIP meetings and confidently present project updates, content calendars, and present new ideas or concepts
- Review and QC creative internally before sharing with the client to ensure it aligns with the brief, brand, and best-practices. A keen eye for detail is a must.
- Actively manage Engage’s project management platforms to ensure projects and deliverables are on track and delivered on time (Slack, Asana, Certinia)
- Assist the Account Directors and Operations departments with new project/ brief scoping and costing
Social Media & Content Strategy
- Work collaboratively with social media teams to oversee content calendars and day-to-day content to ensure alignment with client strategies and objectives across a wider variety of platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter/X)
- Assist with new client or strategy onboarding and implementation alongside Account Directors and social media teams
- Work closely with social media teams to review and approve social media content through internal channels before it is shared with the client
- Identify and clearly communicate changes to strategies or objectives, and work with internal stakeholders to ensure content executions reflect these changes
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in account management, social media management or digital content production
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, present ideas, and manage digital campaigns end-to-end
- Deep understanding of all key platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube.
- Exceptional copywriting skills and a strong editorial eye for what performs online
- Experience with project tools like Asana, Slack, Certinia or similar
- An understanding of analytics and using data to inform strategy
- Highly organised, collaborative and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for sport is a must – and broad knowledge across codes (cricket, rugby, football etc.) is essential
