BridgeBio is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join as an Associate Director or Director of Strategic Finance. The role reports to Strategic Finance and Investor Relations and will be instrumental in driving the company’s corporate finance and capital markets efforts to support growth and enhance shareholder value. The position is designed for an individual who can operate at the intersection of science, strategy, and finance, and translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for executive leadership and the Board.

This role is focused on evaluating and executing strategic and financial opportunities at BridgeBio. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving ability, strong independent judgment, and the capacity to translate complex scientific and financial analyses into clear, decisive recommendations for executive leadership. We are looking for a hardworking and collaborative candidate that can thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Transaction Leadership: Lead end-to-end evaluation and execution of strategic transactions, including licensing, M&A, structured financings, and asset-level partnerships—from opportunity framing through diligence, valuation, and negotiation support.
  • Capital Allocation & Strategic Analysis: Partner with senior leadership to evaluate key business and financial decisions through insights, scenario modeling, and assessment of strategic options.
  • Decision Modeling & Valuation: Apply advanced valuation frameworks (e.g., real options, probabilistic modeling) to inform investment decisions and transaction structuring.
  • Executive & Investor Communication: Synthesize complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders, including materials supporting capital markets activity and strategic transactions.
  • Investor Relations & Consensus Management: Support investor relations activities through analysis of Street models, management of external expectations, development of investor materials, and preparation for earnings and key corporate events.

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration 2-3x per week in our San Francisco and Palo Alto Office.

  • Mission-oriented: Motivated by the opportunity to help advance life-saving medicines.
  • Curious and hardworking: Thoughtful, diligent, committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Focused on results: Willing to take ownership and see projects through to completion.
  • Multitasker: Comfortable working across several high stakes workstreams.
  • Self-motivated. Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented. Values collaboration and supports others across the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, finance, economics, or a related analytical discipline required
  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree, including PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent experience, strongly preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting with demonstrated progression to team leadership roles (e.g., Engagement Manager or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting commercial diligence on biotechnology assets

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a first-principles approach to complex scientific and business questions
  • Strong technical expertise translating clinical and commercial insights into diligence-grade analyses and transaction materials
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive them to clear, actionable conclusions in high-stakes settings
  • Deep fluency in financial modeling and valuation is required.
  • Experience with advanced techniques such as real options analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, or other quantitative frameworks is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Clear and persuasive communicator, both in writing and presentations
  • Familiarity with industry data platforms like IQVIA and/or financial data platforms like Bloomberg or Capital IQ
