We are seeking an Account Executive to join our technology practice. This is a junior level position where you’ll work collaboratively with team members on key account projects and help organize the team around upcoming assignments. You will work as the right hand to mid-levels on the team contributing to the overall strategic direction of an account.
You will be responsible for pitching media and securing coverage opportunities as well as maintaining team operations with agendas, action items and reports. You will also be expected to actively network with media, analysts and influencers to develop relationships
You will support in developing highly curated media lists to provide your teams with accurate journalist information to successfully secure coverage for your clients. This role will entail conducting industry monitoring to flag any trends, issues and media coverage for clients. This role will support consumer and b2b technology brands.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Support the execution of daily corporate and product communications responsibilities, with a strong focus on implementing strategic plans and tactical initiatives across earned media relations, product communications, and corporate and executive thought leadership initiatives.
- →Develop initial earned media strategies with guidance from SAE/AM; conduct proactive and reactive media relations outreach ongoing.
- →Contribute to earned media brand visibility efforts including media relations, influencer relations, executive thought leadership program development, consumer and b2b event concepting and development and more.
- →Conduct ongoing brand and executive research to support team initiatives.
- →Maintain regular and clear communication with team and client, own account projects from start to finish and proactively flag opportunities for clients.
- →Build media, influencer and analyst relationships on behalf of the client and the agency.
- →Draft press materials, speaker submissions, award submissions, blog and social media content and bylines for review by a senior team member.
- →Oversee junior team members and provide direction, edits, and support on assignments.
- →Participate as a day-to-day client contact building strong relationships with client contacts.
- →Demonstrate working knowledge of the technology industry and competitors for every client to provide recommendations on strategies to internal colleagues and clients, as appropriate.
- →Supports or leads on event logistics, budgets, briefing docs, vendor relations, and on-site execution for client events.
- →Participate in new business pitch development and presentations, as appropriate.
- →Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs.
Requirements

- Technology Industry background and/or interest strongly preferred
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work.
- Strong writing skills.
- Critical thinking to help shape programs, advise junior team members, and make recommendations to clients.
- Understands the practical application of AI tools in communications (media list building, content ideation, sentiment analysis, drafting, etc.) and actively integrates AI into workflows.
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Proficient with media monitoring and data analytics tools including Muckrack, Cision, Critical Mention, etc.

What We Offer
~1 min readIn order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $55-75K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
