This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Group Sales team. This position is a selling role and responsible for a personal sales quota and a team sales quota. This role will also direct the effort of the outbound direct sales effort and inbound strategy as well as deployment of the team with guidance from the Director of Sales and Marketing. This position will also play an integral role in the development and management of departmental expense budget and will participate in and assist the Director of Sales & Marketing as needed in writing the annual Business Plan, monthly P&L narrative and Quarterly Partner Reports.

Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Maintain client base and group production goals within an assigned market segment
- →Conduct daily business review sessions to determine fiscal feasibility for group sales business
- →Conduct daily stand up and weekly sales meetings
- →Facilitate annual business plan session with Sales Managers, developing goals, which meet overall resort revenue expectations
- →Partner with Marketing on group Marketing strategy
- →Partner with Director of Revenue to optimize revenue and ensure optimal pricing and restrictions
- →Leadership of Sales in compliance with resort To include but not limited to hiring, evaluation, safety, training/coaching
- →Establish, implement and hold team accountable to adhere to selective sell guidelines to optimally sell meeting and event space
- →Develop plan and implement sales and marketing orientation program for new members of the sales team
- →Monitor/administer Sales incentive plan
- →Ensure all sales metrics are met and exceeded as established by the Director of Sales and Marketing
- →Participate in resort’s revenue and yield management strategies
- →Participate in Resort’s Leadership Meeting
- →Serve as division head in the absence of the Director of Sales and Marketing
- →Focus on the sales process and driving top line
- →Collaborate with Director of Conventions and CSM team to attend client pre-con’s and site visits
- →Produce weekly and monthly reports as required
- →Other duties/responsibilities as assigned
Requirements

- Minimum 5 years experience in hospitality or related field
- 2 years experience as Director of Sales in hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to interact efficiently with internal/external customers
- Flexible hours and days
- Travel as required
- Proficient on Microsoft Office Products
- Function at optimum level under a high stress deadline oriented environment
