Lead Platform Engineer (EHS)

 

 

 

 

 

At Ideagen, we're building the platforms that power innovative Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) solutions used by customers worldwide. We're looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership for our EHS platform engineering team, delivering the infrastructure, automation, and cloud capabilities that enable our products to scale securely and reliably.As a hands-on technical leader, you'll drive the technical direction and delivery of Platform Engineering for the EHS product pillar. You'll help shape the cloud platforms, infrastructure standards, and engineering practices that support multiple product teams, while mentoring engineers and championing AI-assisted engineering practices.

• →Define and drive platform engineering strategy across the EHS product portfolio.
• →Design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Go.
• →Lead technical decisions across cloud architecture, automation, observability, security, resilience, and platform operations.
• →Partner with EHS Engineering leaders to understand product needs and deliver scalable platform solutions.
• →Champion Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD, and automation-first practices.
• →Coach and mentor platform engineers, helping them develop technical expertise and AI-assisted engineering capabilities.
• →Own delivery commitments, manage risks, and contribute to technical design reviews and roadmap planning.
• →Ensure platform services are secure, reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals.

• Strong experience in platform, cloud, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS, Terraform, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and operating highly available, cloud-native platforms at scale.
• Strong understanding of security, networking, observability, disaster recovery, and automation.
• Proven ability to lead technical direction while remaining hands-on.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.
