Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Procurement Manager to oversee the entire procurement process for goods and services required for the operations of Lazure Hotel & Marina. This managerial position involves planning and executing procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, controlling costs and inventory levels, supervising the central warehouse operations, and coordinating inventory counts and stock control processes, while ensuring business continuity and compliance with internal procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage the procurement process for goods, materials, operating supplies, equipment, and services required for the hotel's day-to-day operations.
- Prepare, process, and coordinate purchase requests in cooperation with all hotel departments.
- Negotiate with suppliers and secure the most favorable commercial terms while maintaining the required quality standards for products and services.
- Continuously monitor market conditions, product availability, and price fluctuations, proposing alternative solutions and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and uninterrupted operations across all hotel departments.
- Oversee the operations of the central warehouse and provide guidance and support to the Storekeeper/Driver in daily activities.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory management.
- Organize, coordinate, and participate in regular and ad hoc inventory counts of goods, operating supplies, and fixed assets, and follow up on corrective actions resulting from stocktaking activities.
- Analyze discrepancies identified during inventory counts and propose measures to improve internal controls and inventory management.
- Work closely with the Cost Controller and Finance Department to monitor expenses, analyze consumption patterns, and participate in budgeting and cost control processes.
- Ensure proper maintenance of procurement records and accurate processing of invoices and supporting documentation in accordance with internal procedures.
- Cooperate with department heads in planning requirements and defining specifications for products and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and all applicable regulations related to storage and handling of goods.
- Propose improvements to procurement processes, as well as new products and suppliers, with the aim of increasing efficiency and service quality.
- Act with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and refrain from accepting any commissions, personal benefits, or gifts from suppliers.
- Perform other duties within the scope of expertise as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
- University degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in procurement, logistics, or inventory management in a supervisory or managerial capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory management, and stocktaking procedures.
- Knowledge of HACCP standards is considered an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with ERP, accounting, or hospitality management systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Good knowledge of the Montenegrin market and an established network of local suppliers and distributors are considered a significant advantage.
