Ready Mix Operations Intern

As a Silvi Materials Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to tap into the world of concrete and learn what the world’s most used building material is all about. You'll work alongside our Plant Managers and Plant Mechanics and see what it takes to run a Ready-Mix plant. Your 10–12-week experience will include everything from learning the aggregate business, field visits to our other mines (Sand) and hands on heavy equipment/plant maintenance. The goal of the Ready Mix Operations Internship is to give individuals a hands-on look at what it takes to run a high-yardage producing plant!

• →Enrollment in a collegiate program, preferably in Concrete Industry Management, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, General Engineering, Construction Management, or Materials Science, is required. 
• →Valid Driver’s License

In a typical work setting, people in this job:

• Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
• Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
