Eastown Animal Hospital is a small animal general practice that has cared for pets from Des Moines, Pleasant Hill, Runnells, Altoona, and surrounding communities for over 80 years. We’re looking for a full-time Client Service Representative to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities

→Welcome every client and pet with a positive greeting
→Answer phones, take messages, and answer client questions
→Schedule patients using our practice management software, Tail-o-Phone, and Vetstoria
→Generate invoices, collect payments, manage cash boxes, and make bank runs twice a week
→Manage email and mail, and scan and process client paperwork and medical records
→Manage pet insurance claims
→Know the hospital’s full range of services and provide estimates as appropriate
→Educate clients about our online pharmacy
→Communicate with veterinarians and support staff about client and patient needs
→Deliver excellent customer service to every pet owner

High school diploma
Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered environment
A willingness to learn from the guidance of others, and strong multitasking skills
Reliable attendance
Compassion for animals and their well-being
Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Availability for rotating Saturdays
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
