The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the hotel standards.

• We require open availability, as early as 6am for this position for morning events
• We also require weekend and holiday availability for this role 

This is an On Call position, not Part Time and not Full Time.

On Call (OC) means that the employees hired are required to work a minimum of 1 shift in a 45 day window. Failure to work that minimum of 1 shift within a 45 day window would result in termination 

• →Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• →Know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
• →Served guests according to the hotel’s standards in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• →Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents. Communicate to management, if necessary.
• →Set all tables according to hotel standards.
• →Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
• →Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
• →Prepare room according to BEO and the various meal functions.
• →Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
• →Know the menu items for each function served and able to give accurate descriptions.
• →Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• →Perform other duties as requested by management.

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel or a related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

• 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
