Purpose of Position
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with Korean brands, artists, creators, and creative partners, while driving the strategy and execution of local capsule collections and collaborations to strengthen CASETiFY’s brand relevance, build customer loyalty, and accelerate local market revenue growth. This role will own the end-to-end business development process, from identifying new partnership and collaboration opportunities and developing concepts to negotiating and closing deals, driving go-to-market execution, and managing long-term partner relationships. The role will play a key part in identifying culturally relevant opportunities in Korea and translating them into meaningful brand and commercial opportunities for CASETiFY, working closely with local and global cross-functional teams. In addition, the Business Development Manager will identify and create strategic opportunities to expand CASETiFY’s commercial footprint across B2B, wholesale, and new sales channels and commercial partnerships, contributing to sustainable growth and strengthening the company’s position in the Korean market.

 

Job Descriptions

  • Identify and source high-potential Korean brands, artists, creators, and creative partners that align with CASETiFY's brand and target consumers.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic partnership opportunities through market research, industry networking, and proactive business development.
  • Monitor Korean consumer, cultural, design, fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle trends to identify new collaboration opportunities.
  • Evaluate the strategic and commercial potential of prospective partners and develop business cases for collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, artists, creators, studios, agencies, and other creative partners.
  • Lead partnership negotiations and manage the process from commercial discussions through deal closure.
  • Develop long-term partnership strategies and identify opportunities for repeat and expanded collaborations.
  • Drive the end-to-end development and launch of local capsule collections and collaborations in close partnership with the Global Partnerships team, leveraging global resources and expertise to boost local market relevance, strengthen customer brand loyalty, and directly contribute to local revenue growth.
  • Translate local market insights and cultural trends into highly relevant capsule collections and collaboration products that resonate deeply with Korean consumers, while bridging local market needs with CASETiFY’s global partnership strategy and unlocking new commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and execute impactful GTM strategies for local capsule collections and brand collaborations, including launch strategy, product timelines, marketing activations, sales projections, and key milestones, to maximize consumer engagement, strengthen brand equity, and drive commercial success in the Korean market.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Creative, Product, Retail, PR, Operations, and Global teams to ensure seamless and successful launches.
  • Drive alignment with partners on product development, creative assets, sampling, approvals, marketing activities, and overall launch execution.
  • Monitor launch and campaign performance, analyze key business and consumer metrics, and lead post-launch reviews to identify learnings, optimization opportunities, and areas for future growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the commercial performance, consumer engagement, and brand impact of local collaborations, ensuring they deliver both strong local relevance and measurable business results.
  • Identify and evaluate licensing and partnership opportunities across brands, characters, content, and creative partners.
  • Own the end-to-end licensing and partnership process, including due diligence, commercial negotiations, contract preparation, internal approvals, and execution.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Global Business teams to structure and close effective partnership and licensing agreements.
  • Manage the Korea partnership portfolio, including key commercial terms, rights, timelines, and renewal opportunities.
  • Analyze partnership performance and identify opportunities for expansion, renewal, and additional collaborations.
  • Serve as a key source of insight on Korean consumer trends, cultural movements, emerging brands, creators, and market dynamics for local and global stakeholders.
  • Translate local market and consumer insights into strategic recommendations and actionable business opportunities.
  • Identify and develop differentiated Brand & Creative Partnership opportunities that strengthen CASETiFY’s brand positioning and relevance in the Korean market.
  • Continuously build and expand a strong pipeline of new partners and business opportunities across B2B, wholesale, strategic retail, and other sales channels to broaden CASETiFY’s commercial footprint in Korea.
  • Lead the development and scaling of strategic partnerships and new sales channels, from identifying potential partners and initiating relationships to building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Contribute to Korea’s overall business growth and brand impact through strategic partnerships, channel expansion, and new business development.

Requirement

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Brand Collaboration, Licensing, Product Marketing, IP, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing commercial partnerships, brand collaborations, licensing opportunities, and new business initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience expanding business through new channels, strategic partnerships, and market opportunities, with the ability to translate market insights into tangible business growth.
  • Deep understanding of the Korean consumer, brand, entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, and cultural landscape, with the ability to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and commercially relevant opportunities.
  • Experience developing and executing local market initiatives, product marketing strategies, product collaborations, or market-specific business initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of partners, including brands, artists, creators, agencies, studios, retailers, and IP owners, with the ability to build and manage long-term strategic relationships.
